Incipient was founded in 2001 by storage industry veterans with a proven track record of developing enterprise-class storage software. Incipient employs over 65 individuals and its management and development teams have roots in companies such as EMC, HP, Symantec, Sun and other leading storage-related companies.
Incipient is a leading software developer of enterprise-class, SAN storage virtualization and automated data migration software solutions. Our overarching objective is to make enterprise data truly mobile. Incipient’s network-based storage virtualization software, called iNSP, runs on CISCO MDS9000 Series SAN switches. Incipient’s heterogeneous automated data migration software, called iADM, can be deployed in SAN environments supporting switch vendors such as Brocade, McDATA and Cisco. Both iNSP and iADM can be deployed SAN-wide from a single, easy-to-administer, management station.
Incipient has technologists with deep domain expertise in all aspects of storage virtualization and data migration. Representing hundreds of years of experience and a wide portfolio of patents, the Incipient team has developed the first storage virtualization product that resides entirely in the network and scales to meet business demands of large enterprise environments.
