Responsibilities:

  • The Junior Software Developer serves as a team member and will be responsible for development and maintenance for a variety of ongoing projects involving the Incipient Network Storage Platform software suite.

Position: Software Engineer (Systems)

Location: Incipient HQ

Responsibilities: The Software Engineer will work with senior development team on designing and developing embedded storage virtualization software for split-path hardware architecture products. Develop and unit test real-time Software for Fiber Channel intelligent switches that meet SCSI protocol and FC requirements of supported host operating systems and storage arrays. Performance-tune software to meet stringent latency and throughput requirements of wire-speed network storage virtualization products. Develop storage related applications in C/C++ on embedded Linux or other OS environments. Work may include projects that utilize C, C++, Linux, UNIX, MS Windows, Fiber Channel, Storage Area Networks, Brocade and Cisco Fiber Channel Switches.

Education Requrements: Master s in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.

Experience Requirements: 36 months experience in job offered or software engineering related occupation. Education or experience must include C or C++ development of storage related applications in UNICX or Windows, development of storage virtualization platforms, development on split-path hardware architecture products such as SCSI and Fiber Channel protocols, and embedded storage system performance tuning. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.

Position: Senior Product Manager

Location: Incipient HQ

Responsibilities: As the Senior Product Manager for Incipient’s storage virtualization and data migration system solutions, you will be responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager's job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals.

The Product Manager is expected to:

  • Define the product strategy and roadmap
  • Deliver PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification
  • Develop Product Pricing and Competitive Analysis
  • Develop of Technical Sales Collateral
  • Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
  • Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples
  • Act as a leader within the company
  • Perform product demos to customers

Required experience and knowledge: Minimum of 10 years experience as a Product Manager in high tech environment, demonstrated success defining and launching storage products, excellent written and verbal communication skills, Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred), technical background, with experience in storage, excellent teamwork skills, proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority, must be able to travel 30% of the time, perform product demos to customers

Will work closely with the group's architect to define and design future applications.

Position: Product Marketing Manager

Location: Incipient HQ

Responsibilities: Responsibilities include working with the Product Managers, Corporate Marketing, Business Development, Sales, and Product Support to drive projects such as: defining product requirements; product positioning and messaging; defining and implementing a customer communications strategy. This role focuses on breadth and rotation and as you gain more experience, there's opportunity to grow within the organization.

Requirements:

  • Ideal candidate will have 4-5 years extensive hands-on experience in product marketing, direct marketing, or marketing program management.
  • Experience in software and the data storage market is a plus.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate product specifics to the market, as well as report market requirements back to engineering.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong aptitude for determining the optimal way to position products in the market.
  • BA/BS degree required.

Department: Marketing and Sales

Position: Sales Engineer

Location: Incipient NYC Office
New York, NY USA

Responsibilities: The primary function of the SE is to provide technical pre-sales support to customers/partners in the field. SEs will be required to have relationships with key technical contacts at customer sites and be the customer interface back to Incipient. SEs will be called upon to evangelize and promote Incipient technology and solutions, and articulate the Incipient positioning and messaging. SEs will be expected to properly set and manage customer expectations to ensure successful relationships. Additionally, it is expected that SEs will develop an understanding of partner/customer requirements and report back to Incipient Product Management any features, functions, or supporting information that will assist Product Management in defining enhancements to the Incipient product offering.

Pre-Sales Support Functions:

  • Provide Product Demonstrations
  • Assist Sales with Technical support for Presentations
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for customersAssist Sales with Technical support for Presentations
  • Map Incipient s capabilities with customers and with sales propose revenue producing solutions
  • Support Product Management with field information such as feature requirements or product enhancements
  • Support Industry Events
  • Assist in developing slides, when necessary, for key customer meetings or marketing events
  • Provide Training to Partners
  • Responsible for pilots, POC s and all technical activity at the customer until a purchase order is received
